Who is it for?

The Graduate Diploma of Divinity provides training for those who already hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, seeking to serve in ministry roles, such as:

  • Bible study leaders
  • Sunday school teachers
  • Youth group leaders
  • Lay preachers
  • Elders
  • Chaplains
  • Biblical studies school teachers
  • Support roles in cross-cultural missions

This degree will enable you to serve effectively through being confident in handling the Bible, having clarity about communicating the gospel, and being aware of what Christian service should look like.

After completing the Graduate Diploma of Divinity, eligible students can progress to the second year of the Master of Divinity with full credit.

Course Structure

Students will need to successfully complete the following AQF level 8 units. One full unit is equivalent to 12 credit points.^

^ A total of 96 credit points are required to complete this course.

As a postgraduate course, units are assessed on a higher level than the equivalent units in the Diploma of Theology.
